Business Of The Month: Sunset Design and Landscaping, Inc.

If you lived in Lebanon during the 1950’s and 60’s and loved spaghetti, you probably went to dine at Cocco’s.  Nobody loved the restaurant more than my wife Debbie and her family.  She has great memories of spending hours on Sundays enjoying family, friends and food in the house that the Cocco’s turned into their restaurant.  Their grandson, Joe Zidik who is the owner of Sunset Design and Landscaping, Inc., spent many memorable hours watching his grandmother, Nicolette, make spaghetti and sauce from scratch and his grandfather, Ludivico, be the perfect host and manage the restaurant.  It was hard work, a perfect recipe, and attention to details that made Cocco’s a Lebanon favorite.   Joe and his mom still make spaghetti sauce from his grandparent’s original recipe. Could it have been during those early years at Cocco’s that inspired Joe to start his own business?  I think so.

After working in construction for a number of years, Joe decided that it was time to start his own business.  He had acquired enough equipment to start a  landscaping and yard maintenance business and true to his roots he called it Giuseppe’s Landscape.  It didn’t take long for his customers to spread the word that Joe did a quality job at an affordable price.  As the business grew, he started adding employees making sure that they understood his philosophy of having pride in their workmanship and that every job reflects on them and the property owner.

With thought of having a retail presence, in 2002, Joe had the opportunity to buy Blackie’s Nursery on North 7th St. in Lebanon.  After acquiring it, Joe decided to make some changes including the name.  He operates under the name of Sunset Design and Landscaping, Inc.  Each spring the retail store has a large supply of mulch, decorative stone, ornamental trees, fruit trees, perennial and annual plants and many variety of shrubs.  If you are looking to turn the responsibility of yard or property maintenance to someone else or just kick your landscaping up a notch, Joe would be glad to help and design or redesign your landscape and schedule an appropriate time for the installation.  In additional to the retail, he specializing in both residential and commercial landscaping, which would included weeding, mulching, mowing and trimming.  After a short time of having Joe and his crew manage your landscaping needs, you will ask yourself why you hadn’t contacted Sunset Design and Landscaping, Inc. earlier.

West Chester Window: Insuring Summer Toys

Summer is the time for fun. Book a tee time, put the boat in the water, head to the lake, beach, or mountains. It is the time of year to play. Golfing, boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming, hiking, trail riding — you name it, we do it.

In order to play, we have to have the right toys. And, we have those toys — swimming pools, boats, golf carts, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), motorcycles, motor homes, and trampolines. You name it, we’ve got it. And if we don’t own one, we’ll rent one.

But, are the toys we own and rent properly insured? In some cases the answer is yes, but, all too often the answer is no. Give us a call today to make sure you are covered for your season of fun.

Did You Notify Us Of Your Vehicle Channel?

Did you know you have a limited amount of time to notify us of a vehicle change? If at least one vehicle on your personal policy is covered for comprehensive and/or collision coverage, the newly acquired vehicle is covered for comprehensive and/or collision on the date you become the owner of the vehicle up to 14 days. It has the broadest coverage (lowest deductible) of any covered auto currently on your policy. We MUST be notified by you or the car dealership to insure the newly acquired vehicle for comprehensive and/or collision within 14 days to trigger this coverage beyond the 14 day mark.

If you do not carry comprehensive or collision on any of your existing vehicles, the newly acquired auto is covered for comprehensive and/or collision on the date you become the owner up to 4 days. It has a $500 deductible for both comprehensive and/or collision. We MUST be notified by you or the car dealership to insure the newly acquired auto for comprehensive and/or collision within 4 days to trigger this coverage beyond the 4 day mark.

If coverage is requested within 4 to 14 days of ownership, it is retroactive; it began on the date that the auto was acquired.  If coverage is not requested within 4 or 14 days of ownership, coverage begins on the date requested to us or there is no coverage.

Also, if your automobile sales person said they will contact your insurance company to notify them of your recent auto purchase,  it is a good idea to check in with your insurance agent before the 4 to 14 days to make sure that we have received this call. If two weeks passes from the time you purchased the vehicle and you still have not received an auto identification card from us or the insurance company there is a good chance we have not been informed.
